6 ‘Noice’ Things Fans Will Want to See in Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6

N O I C E ! Cool cool cool cool cool cool

When the news broke out Brooklyn Nine-Nine is getting a new season under NBC, I was so glad I almost cried because one of my favorite American sitcoms is getting a well-deserved new season. COOL! NO DOUBT!

#Squadgoals!!!

For those who haven’t been in the Nine-Nine fever, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American TV sitcom set in Brooklyn’s 99th precinct where newly appointed Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) follows the team of detectives Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Jo Lo Truglio), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), and Sergeant Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews). The precinct is not complete without the old police officers joining the team with Detectives Michael Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Norm Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), plus the human version of the 100 emoji, Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti).

[Warning: There are major spoilers ahead. If you haven’t watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine yet (and you should), you can still watch it on Netflix for Seasons 1-5 and NBC for Season 6]

Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s 5th season ended with Jake and Amy’s “toit nups” after the bomb scare on their wedding day. Captain Holt received an email about his appointment as the commissioner of the NYPD. He reads it, and as usual, the team can’t read his emotions if he really got it or not. That leaves us wondering, what will happen in the next season?

Here are 6 Toit Things fans expect to see in Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6:

1. The Honeymoon

We can’t miss the much-awaited Honeymoon of our favorite detective couple Jake and Amy. What will happen to the newly-wed couple after their almost impromptu wedding? Remember Doug Judy’s parting gift to Jake are tickets for their honeymoon? I’m also excited to see the married banter of the comedic couple of the Nine-Nine, especially when it’s the Halloween Heist again.

2. Captain Holt’s Commissioner Role

Did Captain Holt get the commissioner role he has always dreamed of? With Capt. Holt’s straight face, you can’t even tell whether he’s happy or sad (which has always been the perfect complementary with Jake’s mischievousness and childish antics). Based on the trailer for Episode 1, Holt’s joining the Honeymoon of our detective lovers.

3. Rosa’s New Love Life?

Detective Rosa Diaz’ badass character has always been contrasted by her colorful love life throughout the Brooklyn Nine-Nine series. She has dated at least 5 people (that I remember) including a guy she dated when Charles likes her, Capt. Holt’s nephew Marcus, another guy she told Jake, her ex-fiance Adrian Pimento, and the woman driver she met with Terry. I’m excited to see if she’ll have another partner in Season 6.

4. Gina Linetti’s Shenanigans

The eccentrically brilliant administrative secretary of Capt. Holt must have new shenanigans of being her usual savage self in The Nine-Nine. What kind of Gina will we see now that she’s a mother, juggling responsibilities at work and at home?

5. Doug Judy a.k.a The Pontiac Bandit

If there’s greater chemistry than cartoon characters Tom and Jerry in crazy antics, that’s probably the Jake Peralta and Doug Judy combo. While their relationship started in a rocky state –because Doug Judy is a criminal of more than 600 felonies, Jake and Doug Judy developed great chemistry throughout the series. Now that Doug Judy is starting his civilian life again (unless he’ll go back to stealing cars), I’m wondering if he’ll help The Nine-Nine to solve another case again, just like how he arrested his brother and his assassin.

6. Annual Halloween Heist!!!

What Brooklyn 99 season is complete without the annual Halloween Heist? Each year, the whole squad gets competitive to get the title of the “Ultimate Detective-Slash-Genius.” Fans are surely anticipating the next winner of the most anticipated day of the year. Who will be the next winner? More importantly, is Terry finally participating to claim the title? Hmmm…

With Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s new season with 18 episodes with NBC –and I sincerely hope there will be more, our favorite squad of detectives will be back again with the most hilarious and funny quips while doing what they do best –solving crimes in NYC.

***Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air January 10 and you can watch it at NBC’s website.
